Competence in gas seals expanded

Weinheim, June 30, 2015. The Freudenberg Group is expanding its competence in gas seals on the Chinese end user market. EagleBurgmann, a joint venture of Freudenberg and the EKK Group, has acquired Tianjin Nibot Seal Technology Co. Ltd., in Tianjin, northeast China, with immediate effect. The company is an experienced specialist in the maintenance, retrofit, repair and service of gas seals used, e.g., in the oil & gas, petrochemical and chemical industry sectors. Over many years it has earned itself a very good reputation among international end users on the northeast coast of China.

"With this acquisition, EagleBurgmann is noticeably boosting its strategic alignment towards end user business in China and becoming even more competitive," Dr. Mohsen Sohi, CEO of the Freudenberg Group, commented. "In addition to our successful business with compressor manufacturers, our newly acquired experts now allow us to offer even better and more long-term service for gas seals."

EagleBurgmann has more than 13 offices and service centers in China located in industrial conurbations such as Beijing, Dushanzi, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Shenyang, Tianjin, Wuhan, Xinjiang, Xi'an, Yulin or Zibo. As a result, the new subsidiary Tianjin Nibot Seal Technology, which owns numerous patents and licenses and is a listed supplier with major operators, has access to a comprehensive network of locations. "We have further extended our opportunities and growth possibilities in the oil & gas or petrochemical markets with this acquisition. Our mutual engineering and production know-how combined with a strong service orientation enable us to decisively expand our position as a provider of high-tech seal technology," Dr. Stefan Sacré, CEO EagleBurgmann, said.
