Esther Maria Loidl Named to Freudenberg Group Board of Management

Weinheim, May 25, 2021. Esther Maria Loidl will join the Board of Management of Freudenberg SE on July 1, 2021 and simultaneously become a member of the Freudenberg & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft Management Board. She will have global responsibility for personnel matters as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO.)

Esther Loidl brings more than two decades of experience in wide-ranging personnel fields to the position. She began her career in the tourism industry in 1991 before moving to Brose, an auto supplier, in Mexico. After a variety of personnel positions at Brose, Loidl joined the Freudenberg Group in 2013, initially assuming responsibility for human resources at its Sealing Technologies Business Group. Since August 2017, she has been in charge of HR at the Freudenberg Group. In that role, as digitalization has grown and increased in importance, she has standardized global personnel processes with Group-wide systems.

“As a family-owned company, employees have been an important factor in our success throughout our history, which dates back more than 170 years. Freudenberg also positioned its businesses internationally very early on. That is why we not only look at diversity in terms of gender, age or religion but above all in terms of geographic diversity. With the creation of a special area of responsibility on our Board of Management, we want to place an even stronger focus on talent and managerial development that is well balanced locally and regionally,” explained Martin Wentzler, Chairman of the Board of Partners of the Freudenberg & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Freudenberg SE.

“I am very pleased that Esther Loidl, an HR executive who is well networked within the company and has international experience, is moving onto the Board of Management,” added Dr. Mohsen Sohi, Freudenberg’s CEO.
