Dr. Andreas Raps joins Management Board of EagleBurgmann, Germany, as CEO

Weinheim, March 9, 2016. Dr. Andreas Raps (41) is the new CEO of EagleBurgmann Germany. With effect from March 1, he has taken over all of Dr. Stefan Sacré’s responsibilities. Dr. Sacré left the company at the end of February. The Management Board of the Wolfratshausen seal manufacturer now comprises Dr. Andreas Raps (CEO), as well as Michael Stomberg (COO) and Jochen Strasser (CFO).EagleBurgmann is a joint venture of the Japanese EKK and the German Freudenberg Group.

Raps holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Passau. Before joining the Freudenberg Group in 2004, he worked for Management Consultant companies in Boston, Munich and Zurich. Parallel to his consultancy work, he obtained a PhD in Business Administration with a thesis on "Strategy Implementation." Within the Freudenberg Sealing Technologies Business Group, he was at first responsible for European organizational development. Following this, he became Head of Product Marketing in the vibration technology division. Subsequently, Raps took on various operative management positions, most recently as CEO of the global Special Sealing division with 17 manufacturing sites worldwide. "I am really looking forward to the new challenges and am especially pleased that I can actively help shape the future development of the international EagleBurgmann Group," said Raps.
