The celebration kicked off with an internal open factory day and ended with a Chinese New Year Dinnerparty in a restaurant in the evening. On time at 3 pm, the Suzhou company factory began its celebration with a traditional dragon dance show and huge red balloons. 7 display-booths with all kinds of nonwoven and filter products, pictures, and electronic equipment were arranged in the factory to demonstrate the success and achievements of the past 15 years. One example was the brand new – and still unnamed - product of Interlining which absorbs the moisture from the body and converts it to heat. Nearby this booth Industrial Nonwovens impressed with a visual demonstration using real cars to show the ”car sky” – nonwoven headliners from materials made in Suzhou. And while specialists presented and explained proudly to the guests and employees, the Filtration Technologies Division organized a Q&A lucky draw. Dr. Lu Ngoctuong, the long time General Manager of FVC and now Regional Technical Director stated proudly:”FVC Suzhou showed extremely dynamic and fast growth during the last 15 years, and it has become an important member in the area of Nonwoven Group in China and in Asia as well.”
Innovation, effort and excitement of all employees do not only exist in their professional work life, they are also reflected in their spare time activities. At the Chinese New Year Party in the evening, the staff combined their fabulous performances with the theme of the 15 year anniversary and showed the development of the company – wearing, for example, clothes made from industrial nonwovens.
During the program, 11 employees received an award for 10 years of service and while 2 employees were awarded with a prize for 15 years of service, loyalty, adding another highlight to the successful celebration. The management sincerely expressed a big thank-you to all the employees and their efforts and contributions during the past years. Mr. Ralph Renner, General Manager of Filtration Technologies China, remarked: ”The Filter Team performance is highly remarkable and excellent! It was aggressive, powerful, focused and hungry (like a Tiger!) and hit a new Sales and OR record again (after 2009)! I am in deed very happy and proud to stand here for this Team but would also like to give my highest gratitude and appreciation to the FVC Team that supported us very strongly and without that the Filter success would not have been possible!”
In the past 15 years, FVC unhesitatingly and with foresight complied with legal requirements and the requirements of the Freudenberg Group in terms of environmental protection, occupational health and safety, tax and employment. The occupational health and safety management system (OHSAS 18001), environment management system (ISO 14001), effective quality management system such as ISO 9001 and TS 16949, finance management system and human resource management system were established and implemented. Based on this, Lawrence Wu, the new General Manager of FVC since January 1st, 2011, expressed his expectations:”In order to continue the success of FVC, we will further encourage our employees to act as one team and keep on implementing the ‘excellent factory program’. Besides, we will further concentrate on innovation, improving operational efficiency, enforcing HSE program, intensifying communication. We believe that with the efforts of all employees we can build FVC to a world-class factory!”
The very happy, creative and exciting dinner party with 8 performances by all departments was crowned with the big first prize and recognition for the best performing team: Industrial Nonwovens team which provided a vital and cheerful modern Korean dance “Nobody” in creative industrial nonwovens clothes. Another Industrial Nonwovens team and an Interlining team were awarded due to their excellent teamwork with the second and the third prize respectively.
