Suspension

Vibracoustic air springs can be adjusted to different ride heights, to reduce air resistance at higher speeds and increasing overall range. In additon, they reduce the noise and vibrations caused not only by powertrains, but also by adverse road conditions.

Engine

To ensure maximum comfort for the driver, vibrations coming from the engine must be isolated and road excitations must be damped as effectively as possible. To achieve this, powertrain mounts developed and manufactured by Vibracoustic are used - either as engine or gearbox mounts.

Chassis mounts

Anti-vibration bearings, mounts, springs, isolators, and mass dampers reduce the noise and vibrations caused not only by powertrains, but also by adverse road conditions.

Steering

Freudenberg sealing solutions for chassis parts are long lasting and can therefore ensure reliability of moving parts.

Fuel Cell

Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) materials are one of the performance critical components in fuel cells acting both as the functional as well as the supporting structure for membrane electrode assembly (MEA). 

Freudenberg GDL materials exhibit high electrical and thermal conductance, protect the membrane from potential puncture damage, allow safe and productive downstream processing in MEA manufacturing, and are tailored for optimized mass transport according to the fuel cell operating conditions.

Some Important product features of fuel cell stacks are robustness, and durability. Freudenberg has developed seal materials that meet all requirements of fuel cell environment and lifetime operation.

Fuel Cell Humidifier

Supplemental membrane humidification is essential for fuel cell applications requiring high performance and/or extended durability. Freudenberg's gas-to-gas and liquid-to-gas humidifiers are based on an innovative hollow fiber technology and benefit from the Group's expertise in engineering, simulation and design.

Fuel Cell Filter

Fuel cells are especially vulnerable to contaminants in the air. Freudenberg's filters protect stack and system components from harmful particulates and gaseous contaminants.

Battery

The excellent thermal and mechanical properties of Freudenberg's ceramic separators improve safety and reliability of devices at cell level, outclassing conventional battery separators.

Engine/transmission
