Freudenberg expands global network further

Weinheim, October 2, 2013. The Freudenberg Group is further expanding its strategic global network, adding to the existing offices in China and the USA. The two Regional Corporate Centers in India and Brazil were opened in June and July. The first began operating in Bangalore, India, at the end of June. The center supports Freudenberg’s ten Indian companies in the fields of HR, innovation management, finance and insurance, communications, and infrastructure. This was followed two weeks later by the Regional Corporate Center South America in Alphaville near São Paulo. The staff there are the main point of contact for Freudenberg companies in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela.

At the opening ceremony in Bangalore, Regional Representative Dr. Jörg Matthias Großmann highlighted Freudenberg’s long-term commitment in India, saying this was underscored by the new Freudenberg Regional Corporate Center which was opening at a time of economic uncertainty in India. The guests at the inauguration ceremony included the Deputy Consul General of Germany, Hans-Günther Löffler, the Regional Director of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Audrey D’Souza, several senior managers from the Freudenberg Group and some 70 associates from Klüber Lubrication, Chem-Trend and other Freudenberg companies based in Bangalore.

The list of some 65 guests in Brazil not only included Business Group associates, customers and suppliers, but also Christoph Mosmann, Member of the Freudenberg Group Board of Management, and Regional Representative Juan Carlos Borchardt, who both underscored the growing importance of the Regional Corporate Centers which strengthen Freudenberg’s presence in strategically relevant emerging regions and support the development of Freudenberg companies in these areas. The HR, communications, and tax and customs corporate functions are represented in Alphaville. The majority of Freudenberg’s activities in South America are concentrated in Brazil, where seven Business Groups have operations. Freudenberg delivers solutions and services to the automotive, energy, chemical, textile, medical and pharmaceutical, shoe and apparel, mechanical engineering and plant engineering industries.

Freudenberg is continuing to expand its network of Regional Corporate Centers with the two new offices in India and Brazil. The Regional Corporate Center North America opened in Manchester, USA, back in 2003. It has been successively expanded over the last ten years and comprises seven corporate functions.
The Regional Corporate Center for the Asia region was opened in Shanghai, China, in 2006. Today, the center offers support in the fields of tax, finance & projects, insurance, HR and communications.
